First run

How to Play Azeroth Survivors

Choose a hero, stay moving and build your spell set as you level.

Open Aethus’s original game, select a class and an available zone, then press Enter. Your abilities cast automatically: your main decisions are movement and the upgrades you pick.

Start a run

  1. Choose a class and an available zone on the character screen. A fresh character starts in Elwynn Forest.
  2. Press Enter to start. Move with W, A, S and D or hold both mouse buttons.
  3. When a level-up offers cards, read each effect and press 1, 2 or 3 to choose one. Press R to reroll if the run offers a reroll; check the displayed count or cost.
  4. Keep moving as enemies approach, and use the available damage and survival upgrades to reach the next boss.

New spell or stronger spell?

A reported run can hold six spells. A new spell takes a place; an upgrade improves a spell you already have. For example, if you already have useful area damage but struggle to survive, compare a survival choice with another damage spell before filling a slot. Read the current cards: a familiar name does not guarantee the same effect as in World of Warcraft.

After the run

Open Talents to spend earned class points and Collection to equip permanent pieces. Run spells and jewelry start over; class talents and collected equipment are a separate layer. See talent progression, equipment and the zone route for your next step.

Need a hero? Compare all nine classes. If the game cannot start, use the loading guide.
