Azeroth Survivors Classes
Compare starting spells and playstyles before choosing your first run.
Choose the style you want to try: Warrior and Paladin fight close to enemies, Hunter attacks at range, and Mage and Warlock use spells. These descriptions are a starting point, not a measured strength ranking.
Nine classes and starting spells
The table describes the fresh, zero-talent menu recorded in v0.90.0. Talent milestones may change a later run’s starting spell. Check your current character screen before relying on a specific spell.
| Class | Fresh starting spell | Menu identity |
|---|---|---|
| Warrior | Cleave | Close-range cleaving attacks and a large health pool. |
| Paladin | Consecration | Holy ground and hammers with healing and defensive effects. |
| Hunter | Auto Shot | Ranged arrows, traps and volleys; keep your distance. |
| Rogue | Sinister Strike | Fast movement and critical hits, with a fragile character. |
| Priest | Smite | Light and Shadow damage alongside shields and healing. |
| Shaman | Lightning Bolt | Lightning that jumps between enemies and supporting totems. |
| Mage | Fireball | Area spell damage with a fragile, glass-cannon identity. |
| Warlock | Shadow Bolt | Curses, fire and damage over time. |
| Druid | Wrath | Roots, storms and sustained self-healing. |
What changes after you choose?
Your selected class has its own spell pool and progression. For example, the Hunter’s Kill Shot milestone can replace Auto Shot with Aimed Shot at the start; the Paladin’s Ardent Defender can change the start to Hammer of Justice. These are v0.90.0 menu observations, not an assurance for every later version.
